Phonak Audeo P-312 hearing aids are receiver-in-canal (RIC) devices, with receivers positioned directly within the ear canal. This design increases the likelihood of earwax and debris accumulation, making regular cleaning crucial to ensure best functionality and performance.

Receiver and Domes:

  • Remove the dome from the receiver, if it is detachable, then soak them in for half an hour in a special cleaning cup.
  • Later, rinse them well and let it dry fully and replace the dome.
  • To remove dirt from the wax guards and sound exit, use a soft brush or wax pick.

Ear Hook and Ear Mould:

  • If using an ear mould, wash it with warm, soapy water and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting to the ear hook.
  • Clean the ear hook by wiping it gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove any oils or dirt.

Hearing Aid Body:

  • Clean the main body of the hearing aid using cleaning wipes designed specifically for hearing aids.
  • Avoid using water or household cleaning products, as they may damage the hearing aid or its interior parts.

Storage:

  • Store your hearing aid in a clean, dry case when not in use.
  • For extra protection, use a drying box or dehumidifier to remove moisture and prolong the lifespan of your device.
