Phonak Bolero M-M hearing aids are behind-the-ear (BTE) devices that require regular cleaning to keep the best performance. Due to the placement of the receiver and domes, they are prone to earwax and debris buildup, making proper maintenance essential.

SlimTubes and Domes:

  • Detach the slim tube from the hearing aid and use a cleaning wire to remove any accumulated debris inside.
  • Remove the dome and clean it with a specialised cleaning solution or a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching to the slim tube.

Ear Hook and Ear Mould:

  • If using an ear mould, wash it with warm, soapy water and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting to the ear hook.
  • Clean the ear hook by wiping it gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove any oils or dirt.

Hearing Aid Body:

  • Wipe the body of the hearing aid with cleaning wipes specifically designed for hearing aids.
  • Avoid using water or standard household cleaning products.

Storage:

  • Store your hearing aid in a clean, dry case when not in use.
  • For extra protection, use a drying box or dehumidifier to remove moisture and prolong the lifespan of your device.
